BoF: Creation of an Infrastructure of Authentication e Authorization for the GARR Network
Aim of this BoF is to create a group to build an Infrastructure of Authentication e Authorization (AAI) for the GARR Network.
An AAI aims to make easier the access to network services belonging to different organizations. An AAI manages the mechanisms of authentication and authorization between a user, its organization and the resource to be accessed (eg the LAN of another organization). The existence of a regular architecture, independently from the involved organizations, represents an effective benefit.
The Work Group will:
· find out the needed features;
· study the state-of-the-art of AAI used by other NRENs;
· choose the most proper architecture;
· examine the feasibility of the project;
· propose an implementation scenario.
