Dalle prime reti informatiche alle grandi infrastrutture di ricerca: come la rete ha cambiato il modo di fare scienza

Il 24 ottobre 2011, nella sede del Ministero dell'Istruzione, Università e Ricerca in piazzale J.F. Kennedy, si è svolta la celebrazione dei primi vent'anni della rete GARR. 

L’evento celebrativo dei primi vent’anni della rete GARR ha costituito l’occasione per riflettere su come le reti della ricerca e i loro utilizzatori abbiano cambiato il modo di fare scienza negli ultimi anni e per illustrare i benefici e le opportunità che le infrastrutture di ricerca interconnesse a livello mondiale offrono alla comunità scientifica e accademica italiana.Nel corso della cerimonia sono stati consegnati i premi in ricordo del prof. Orio Carlini e del prof. Antonio Ruberti, che GARR ha destinato a proposte o lavori originali presentati da giovani ricercatori su temi del Future Internet e delle Next Generation Network.
