Special Mention for GARR at the National Award for Digital Skills
Learning GARR, the platform dedicated to training, received a special mention in the “ICT Specialist Skills” category at the second edition of the Italian National Award for Digital Skills, promoted by the Department for Digital Transformation.
The award recognises GARR’s commitment to promoting digital skills and developing high-quality training programmes for the research and education community.
The special mention was granted “for the wide and varied thematic articulation and flexibility of their courses, which has enabled the creation of an inclusive and customisable learning ecosystem while maintaining a strong focus on network technical skills, and for their remarkable ability to build synergies with Italian and European universities and research institutions.”
The open-source Learning GARR platform is one of the cornerstones of GARR’s training activities, offering a wide catalogue of courses and webinars on networking, security, digital technologies, and innovation. Through an open, collaborative, and community-oriented approach, Learning GARR fosters knowledge sharing and the development of new skills in line with the challenges of digital transformation.
An important contribution to this achievement also came from the public online vote, which allowed anyone to express their support for the finalist projects.
