Bologna hosts the TeRABIT Final event
On 2 December, the Final event of the TeRABIT project will take place at the Conference Centre of the CNR Research Area in Bologna, entitled “TeRABIT: the evolution of infrastructures for cutting-edge research.”
The event will be an opportunity to present the results of the project funded by the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), discuss future perspectives, and strengthen synergies among the main Italian and European research infrastructures.
Mauro Campanella (GARR and INFN) will open the conference by outlining the current state of the project and its main achievements. The session dedicated to synergies between research infrastructures and sustainability will feature contributions from Alessia D’Orazio (ICSC), Michele Punturo (INFN), Giacomo Cuttone (INFN) and Mirko Cestari (Cineca).
In the afternoon, the event will focus on the evolution of TeRABIT research infrastructures. Among the speakers: Michele Mazzola (MUR), Mirko Cestari (Cineca), Claudia Battista, Director of GARR, Cosimo Solidoro, Director of the Oceanography Section at OGS and Diego Bettoni, INFN Vicepresident. The session on innovation and on federated and distributed HPC will be chaired by Silvia Calegari (INFN) and will include contributions from Elisa Zuccolo (OGS) on UrgentShake and Giovanni Cesaroni (GARR) on federated monitoring.
An afternoon of dialogue among experts, with talks dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and the evolution of networks and HPC computing to address new challenges in scientific research.
On 3 December, a workshop will be held featuring the key players of the project.
