New webinar series on digital accessibility
The webinar series “Digital accessibility: from obligation to opportunity”, promoted by GARR, is getting under way. The series is dedicated to the key themes of digital accessibility as a fundamental right and as a quality factor for online services.
The programme includes sessions on web content accessibility, PDF documents, multimedia content, the Italian and European regulatory framework, WCAG, WAI-ARIA and Universal Design for Learning.
The first event, “Web content accessibility: a right for everyone”, will take place on 27 January 2026, from 14:30 to 16:00. This entry-level webinar, with no prerequisites, will introduce the principles of digital accessibility and the WCAG, providing practical guidance and tools for creating more inclusive web content. The course will be delivered by Gianluca Affinito, an expert in digital training and accessibility at Formez PA, where he is responsible for the design, development and management of e-learning training activities.
The initiative is aimed at website editors, teachers, students and training professionals.
