It is now possible to register for the GARR Workshop 2026, which will take place from 3 to 5 November at the Aula Magna of the Department of Humanities (Dipartimento di Lettere) at Roma Tre University.
As every year, the GARR Workshop brings together networking experts from the education and research community for an event that offers both an opportunity to stay up to date and a chance to discuss and debate the most pressing topics of the moment.
This 2026 edition will showcase the latest developments in networking, which are becoming increasingly automated and intelligent and will address the management of digital infrastructure for research, particularly in light of the NRRP-Next Gen EU investments. It will also cover computing facilities and campus networks. As always, security will be on the agenda, with a focus on NIS2 along with digital identity. Considerable attention will be devoted to digital sovereignty, a theme that will be explored both from the perspective of infrastructure control and from that of artificial intelligence.
2 November will be dedicated to training courses, offering the chance to deepen and develop technical and operational skills.
The workshop will be accessible both in person and online.
