From fostering digital literacy to advanced technical training to scholarships for young innovators: GARR in-class and distant learning activities are dedicated to the research and education community.

GARR offers courses on topics linked to the management and use of the network, as well as of advanced services and applications delivered on top of it: from network management to cybersecurity, from monitoring to digital identity, from Open Educational Resources (OER) to advanced services. Training activities are designed to support the dissemination of technical knowledge and to exchange information and best practices on research and development of new technologies and services.

In addition, GARR promotes initiatives to disseminate and enhance digital skills and digital literacy, to pave the way towards a conscious use of the Internet and the e-Infrastructures.

GARR training offer is open to all users in the Research and Education community and includes:

  • Seminars and in-class courses;
  • Webinars and self-paced e-learning courses.

GARR annually awards Scholarships to young graduates that are specialising on themes related to e-Infrastructures.

Description

Dal 3 al 5 aprile, presso l’ Accademia Reale Danese di Musica di Copenhagen si terrà il workshop Network Performing Arts Production, organizzata da GÉANT e Internet2.

Il workshop consentirà ai partecipanti di sperimentare tecnologie all'avanguardia per la formazione a distanza ed esplorare nuovi modi di utilizzare tecnologie audio e video in performance dal vivo e sarà particolarmente focalizzato sull’uso di queste tecnologie e delle reti della ricerca nella didattica.

L'intero workshop prevede delle sessioni interattive con delle demo live e delle performance che faranno uso delle ultime tecnologie e strumenti nel campo delle connessioni ad alta velocità e a bassa latenza, a cui seguiranno sessioni per condividere le esperienze e rispondere alle domande.

Durante l’ultimo giorno, l’evento si focalizzerà sugli usi creativi della tecnologia. Inoltre, una sessione speciale all’inizio del programma sarà dedicata a coloro che si avvicinano al mondo delle Network Performing Arts per la prima volta.

Nel programma è anche previsto un concerto distribuito in più sedi, scritto ed eseguito dagli studenti dell’Accademia Reale Danese di Musica, insieme agli studenti del Conservatorio Reale di Musica di Londra e ai ballerini della Scuola Nazionale Danese delle Arti Performative e dell’Istituto del Teatro di Barcellona.
