From fostering digital literacy to advanced technical training to scholarships for young innovators: GARR in-class and distant learning activities are dedicated to the research and education community.

GARR offers courses on topics linked to the management and use of the network, as well as of advanced services and applications delivered on top of it: from network management to cybersecurity, from monitoring to digital identity, from Open Educational Resources (OER) to advanced services. Training activities are designed to support the dissemination of technical knowledge and to exchange information and best practices on research and development of new technologies and services.

In addition, GARR promotes initiatives to disseminate and enhance digital skills and digital literacy, to pave the way towards a conscious use of the Internet and the e-Infrastructures.

GARR training offer is open to all users in the Research and Education community and includes:

  • Seminars and in-class courses;
  • Webinars and self-paced e-learning courses.

GARR annually awards Scholarships to young graduates that are specialising on themes related to e-Infrastructures.

Description

Comprendere e coniugare, in concreto, il rispetto dell’aleatorio concetto di riservatezza con gli aspetti pratici e quotidiani, sia delle proprie attività ludiche sia di quelle lavorative o scientifiche, è un’operazione che spesso viene difficile anche ai così detti “esperti”. Il motivo non è legato solo alla pervasività della digitalizzazione, ma anche e soprattutto al trattamento ed alla interoperabilità di una mole di informazioni sempre maggiore e sempre più potenzialmente invasiva e lesiva della sfera privata delle persone. Il Regolamento Generale sulla Protezione dei dati (General Data Protection Regulation, Reg. UE 2016/679) affronta questo problema e stabilisce delle regole che, peraltro, richiederanno comunque assennata capacità, di interpretazione e di applicazione, in rapporto all’evoluzione tecnologica.

I webinar, senza pretesa di esaustività, si propongono di illustrare il nuovo impianto normativo a partire dalle definizioni, dai ruoli e dagli adempimenti previsti dal nuovo regolamento europeo sulla protezione dei dati. Si procederà ad un confronto tra la normativa europea e quella nazionale, illustrando i nuovi adempimenti previsti per l’adeguamento.
