From fostering digital literacy to advanced technical training to scholarships for young innovators: GARR in-class and distant learning activities are dedicated to the research and education community.

GARR offers courses on topics linked to the management and use of the network, as well as of advanced services and applications delivered on top of it: from network management to cybersecurity, from monitoring to digital identity, from Open Educational Resources (OER) to advanced services. Training activities are designed to support the dissemination of technical knowledge and to exchange information and best practices on research and development of new technologies and services.

In addition, GARR promotes initiatives to disseminate and enhance digital skills and digital literacy, to pave the way towards a conscious use of the Internet and the e-Infrastructures.

GARR training offer is open to all users in the Research and Education community and includes:

  • Seminars and in-class courses;
  • Webinars and self-paced e-learning courses.

GARR annually awards Scholarships to young graduates that are specialising on themes related to e-Infrastructures.

Luca Coviello

Luca Coviello è un borsista GARR edizione 2018 e sta svolgendo la sua attività presso la Fondazione Bruno Kessler nell’ambito dell'agricoltura di precisione, sviluppando tecnologie a basso costo basate su reti neurali e intelligenza artificiale per migliorare la qualità e quantità dei raccolti in modo sostenibile.Ha ricevuto la doppia laurea magistrale in Data Science nel 2018 dall’Università Politecnica di Nizza (UNS) e dall’Università Politecnica di Madrid (UPM), conseguita all’interno del percorso europeo dell’Istituto Europeo dell’Innovazione e della Tecnologia (EIT).
Negli anni ha acquisito esperienza come formatore partecipando come tutor a WebValley, la scuola estiva internazionale per studenti delle superiori organizzata da FBK e grazie alle attività come Docente di Informatica all’Istituto Tecnico Tecnologico G. Marconi di Rovereto e di tutor nei progetti di intelligenza artificiale per l’agricoltura realizzati con i ragazzi delle superiori.

  • Stringhe, strutture dati e costrutti
  • Funzioni e programmazione ad oggetti
  • Dopo aver preso confidenza con python, l’attenzione sarà posta sulla realizzazione di prototipi di applicazioni che sfruttano la rete.

  • 20 marzo 2020: 1,15 TEORIA + 15 minuti ASSEGNAZIONE ESERCIZI (da svolgere off-line);
  • 23 marzo 2020: Primi 30 minuti, il docente RISPONDE ALLE DOMANDE DI CHIARIMENTO SUGLI ESERCIZI (che dovranno pervenire attraverso il Forum in piattaforma) + 55 minuti TEORIA + 5 minuti ASSEGNAZIONE ESERCIZI (da svolgere off-line);
  • 25 marzo 2020: Primi 30 minuti, il docente RISPONDE ALLE DOMANDE DI CHIARIMENTO SUGLI ESERCIZI (che dovranno pervenire attraverso il Forum in piattaforma) + 55 minuti TEORIA + 5 minuti ASSEGNAZIONE ESERCIZI (da svolgere off-line);
  • 27 marzo 2020: Primi 30 minuti, il docente RISPONDE ALLE DOMANDE DI CHIARIMENTO SUGLI ESERCIZI (che dovranno pervenire attraverso il Forum in piattaforma) + 60 minuti TEORIA e CONCLUSIONI.
