From fostering digital literacy to advanced technical training to scholarships for young innovators: GARR in-class and distant learning activities are dedicated to the research and education community.

GARR offers courses on topics linked to the management and use of the network, as well as of advanced services and applications delivered on top of it: from network management to cybersecurity, from monitoring to digital identity, from Open Educational Resources (OER) to advanced services. Training activities are designed to support the dissemination of technical knowledge and to exchange information and best practices on research and development of new technologies and services.

In addition, GARR promotes initiatives to disseminate and enhance digital skills and digital literacy, to pave the way towards a conscious use of the Internet and the e-Infrastructures.

GARR training offer is open to all users in the Research and Education community and includes:

  • Seminars and in-class courses;
  • Webinars and self-paced e-learning courses.

GARR annually awards Scholarships to young graduates that are specialising on themes related to e-Infrastructures.

Volete sapere cos'è e perché serve l'Open Science? Come si fa correttamente Open Access? Come rendere FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) i vostri dati per non perdere l'occasione della European Open Science Cloud? Questo webinar introduttivo prende le mosse da una panoramica sul sistema attuale della comunicazione scientifica e le sue criticità, per permettere di cogliere l'alternativa della Open science in tutta la sua potenzialità. Parleremo - anche alla luce del recentissimo Decreto e bando VQR - di Open Access ai testi; di European Open Science Cloud e i suoi blocchi costitutivi, i dati FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Verranno offerti strumenti pratici per la gestione corretta dei dati della ricerca e per la stesura di un Data Management Plan.

Elena Giglia

Responsabile dell’Unità di progetto Open Access dell’Università di Torino. Svolge una intensa attività di formazione e promozione su logiche e vantaggi dell’accesso aperto e sulla comunicazione scientifica, temi sui quali ha pubblicato numerosi contributi. È membro del Gruppo di lavoro “Open Access” della CRUI, di AISA -Associazione Italiana per la promozione della Scienza Aperta e di IOSSG –Italian Open Science Support Group. Partecipa attivamente a convegni nazionali e internazionali e a workshop europei su Open Access e Open Science.
