From fostering digital literacy to advanced technical training to scholarships for young innovators: GARR in-class and distant learning activities are dedicated to the research and education community.

GARR offers courses on topics linked to the management and use of the network, as well as of advanced services and applications delivered on top of it: from network management to cybersecurity, from monitoring to digital identity, from Open Educational Resources (OER) to advanced services. Training activities are designed to support the dissemination of technical knowledge and to exchange information and best practices on research and development of new technologies and services.

In addition, GARR promotes initiatives to disseminate and enhance digital skills and digital literacy, to pave the way towards a conscious use of the Internet and the e-Infrastructures.

GARR training offer is open to all users in the Research and Education community and includes:

  • Seminars and in-class courses;
  • Webinars and self-paced e-learning courses.

GARR annually awards Scholarships to young graduates that are specialising on themes related to e-Infrastructures.

Description

Guida pratica all’uso di DMPonline, Argos e Data Stewardship Wizard per scrivere un Data Management Plan. Il webinar è realizzato per la comunità italiana e si rivolge a ricercatori, personale di supporto alla ricerca, tecnici, tecnologi interessati a conoscere le tematiche legate alla scienza aperta e ai principi FAIR.

Docenti

Emma Lazzeri: lavora per il GARR alla definizione di strategie, strumenti e alla formazione e informazione su tematiche relative alla scienza aperta. Emma coordina la Task Force di ICDI (Italian Computing and Data Infrastructure) per il Centro di Competenza Nazionale per l'Open Science, FAIR ed EOSC. Emma coordina il progetto Skills4EOSC co-finanziato dall'Unione Europea in Horizon Europe.

Elena Giglia (Università di Torino): è responsabile dell’Unità Open Science all’Università di Torino.
Da anni fa parte della rete europea che promuove la Open Science, con la partecipazione attiva a convegni e workshop nazionali e internazionali e a progetti europei. Svolge una intensa attività di formazione e promozione su logiche e vantaggi della scienza aperta e sulla comunicazione scientifica.
Ha fatto parte (2019-2020) della Commissione Open Science al Ministero per l’Università e la Ricerca (MUR). Collabora con il Competence Center di ICDI-Italian Computing and Data Infrastructures su Open Science, EOSC, FAIR data. Fa parte della Task Force Researchers engagement and Adoption in European Open Science Cloud - EOSC Association, ove è delegata dell’infrastruttura di ricerca OPERAS per la Open Science nelle scienze umane e sociali. Fa parte di diversi Comitati scientifici e advisory board. Cura il portale informativo OA@Unito e collabora al portale openscience.it.
