GARRbox privacy policy

GARRbox is a personal cloud storage service for file storage and sharing, designed specifically for the Italian research and education community. It allows data synchronization between different devices (PCs, tablets and smartphones) and enables collaboration and resource sharing with other users and work groups.

For authenticated users, the following attributes are transmitted by the user's home organisation:

Personal data of authenticated users is used to determine read and write permissions for each page, to identify who made changes, and to send email notifications (file shares or other significant alerts). The home organisation is required to assign storage quota to the user.

Log data will not be released to third parties, except to comply with legal obligations. Authenticated users who edit pages should be aware that their user identifier may be visible to other users of the service.
