The volume containing the Selected Papers of the GARR Conference 2021, which took place online from 7 to 16 June, has been published.
The GARR Conference 2021 was dedicated to the complex balance between digital technologies and sustainability, which was intended in its several meanings: environmental, economic and social.
The publication contains 24 articles related to the contributions presented as lightning talks during the conference sessions: smart cities and communities, cybersecurity, AI and platforms for sustainable development, Open Science and education.
The conference, organised for the first time as a online format, had an excellent response from the public: in the various days participants were about 700, coming in particular from the university community (45%) and research (34%) but also from the education, biomedical research sectors and from some companies.
