The project of the 10 “Orio Carlini” Scholarships for the 2022
The 10 “Orio Carlini” Scholarships , focused on the development of digital infrastructures and their services in multidisciplinary contexts, were awarded.
The topics of the selected projects, in line with the main challenges of our times, represent the variety of the GARR user community. It ranges from the medical field, with the optimization of clinical diagnoses and treatments thanks to artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud services, to the use of increasingly advanced cloud applications up to digitization in the architectural, museum and hospital fields. Finally, other projects concern "tangle" technology, the Openstack SQL database service with encryption and the study of a monitoring tool for the integration and optimization of renewable energy.
The selected students will carry out their activities in scientific, cultural and academic organisations connected to the GARR network, specifically: Polytechnic University of Marche, University of Florence, CNR Institute of Neurosciences in Padua, University of Pisa, University of Naples "L'Orientale", CNR Institute of Informatics and Telematics in Pisa, University of Perugia, CNR Institute of Science and Information Technologies in Pisa, and San Raffaele Scientific Institute for Research and Health Care (IRCCS).
