Webinar: Open Science and EU funds

The National Open Access Desk of OpenAIRE for Italy organises, in collaboration with the ICDI Competence Centre, a course addressed to coordinators of H2020 and Horizon Europe projects, with the aim to address questions on Open Science and Open Access related to EU funds.

The course consists of 4 webinars, scheduled for February 2021. In each lesson there will be the opportunity for participants to openly discuss and to raise questions.

2 February, 14.00-16.30 - Introduction

  • How science works today, research evaluation, issues
  • The Open Science alternative
  • The European Commission and Open Science
  • Services and support for researchers in Italy and Europe: ICDI and OpenAIRE
  • Q&A and discussion (30 minutes)

4 February, 2.00pm-4.30pm - Open Access and Open Data

  • What is Open Access to publications and how it works
  • Open Data Pilot
  • The importance of managing research data
  • Q&A and discussion (30 minutes)

9 February, 14.00-16.30 - Research Data Management and DPM

  • FAIR principles
  • What is the Data Management Plan and what is it for
  • Examples of DMP
  • DMP tools
  • Q&A and discussion (30 minutes)

11 February, 14.00-16.30 - Practical session

  • Use of tools and services to comply with obligations
  • Integrate good open science practices into one's daily life
  • Q&A and discussion (30 minutes)
