The annual GARR Conference is the event dedicated to networking professionals and researchers who use the network and services on a daily basis.

The new GARR NEWS is online! In this edition we present the new initiatives funded by the NRRP and we provide some updates on the new, future-proof network GARR-T.

The University of Florence will host the new GARR conference from June 14–16.

The volume containing the Selected Papers of the GARR Conference 2022, which took place in Palermo from 18 to 20 May, has been published.

On November 27, the renown physicist Stavros Katsanevas passed away. He had been director since 2018 of the GARR-connected European Gravitational Observatory (EGO), whose headquarters are based in Cascina, near Pisa.

The new statute of the GARR Consortium was signed during an extraordinary General Assembly. The document was signed by GARR president Maurizio Tira and the representatives of the member institutions: Sarah Chen (CNR), Roberto Iaschi (ENEA), Giorgio Mosconi (CRUI), Antonio Zoccoli (INFN), Giovanni Scarpato (INGV).

Registrations for the GÉANT Innovation Program will open on 5 December, a great opportunity to fund project ideas in the research and education community.

The activities of the National HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing centre have officially started with an event organized at its future headquarters at the Bologna Technopole.

GARR, in collaboration with CNR, launches a new weekly online appointment which, from November to January, explores the issues related to the protection of personal data and the GDPR.

The 10 “Orio Carlini” Scholarships , focused on the development of digital infrastructures and their services in multidisciplinary contexts, were awarded.

From November to February 2023 GARR is holding online training classes on digital identities and AAIs.

The TNC23 Call for Proposals for Single Presentations, Demonstrations and Workshops is now open. (Please note the call for Lightning Talks and smaller side meetings will open in February 2023.). TNC23 will be hosted by RASH, the Albanian Research and Education Network, and will take place in Tirana from 5-9 June 2023.
